Star Citizen events and sales

Free Fly weekends, in-game festivals and ship sales across the year.

  • CitizenCon (SQ42 Content Creator Event) – This year's stand-in for CitizenCon: an invite-only weekend at CIG's Manchester studio where content creators, press and a few long-time backers play Squadron 42 hands-on, tour the studio and meet the team. (Live: 2026-10-09)
  • RSI Discovery Month – RSI event missions across Stanton with permanent rewards (paints, flight blades, components, armor, weapons and tools), plus a free five-day rental of the unreleased Constellation Mk V Centaurus. (Live: 2026-10-09)
  • Constellation Mk IV last call – The current-generation Constellation (Aquila, Taurus, Andromeda, Phoenix) is leaving the pledge store. Until the end of the window it comes with 10-year insurance and a bonus RSI Venture armor set, backpack, t-shirt, hat and Emerald paint. After that it can only be bought in game. (Live: 2026-10-09)
  • Red Festival – Lunar New Year celebration with red envelope rewards, themed items and ship sales. Often paired with a Free Fly. (Took place: 2026-02-12)
  • Coramor – The 'verse's Valentine's festival: romance-themed missions, decorations and gifting items.
  • Stella Fortuna – A luck-themed spring festival with green cosmetics and limited items.
  • Invictus Launch Week – The UEE Navy recruitment fleet week. Military ships are on display in game, many can be test-flown for free, and military-themed ships go on sale.
  • Day of the Vara – Halloween in the 'verse: spooky event missions, masks and themed cosmetics, plus a sale on "villainous" ships.
  • CitizenCon – CIG's yearly showcase of what's coming next for Star Citizen and Squadron 42, usually with a sale on newly revealed ships. (Cancelled: 2026-10-28)
  • Intergalactic Aerospace Expo (IAE) – The biggest ship show of the year. Every manufacturer gets a showroom, almost every flyable ship can be tried for free, and most ships, including limited ones, return to the pledge store. (Expected: 2026-11-15)
  • Luminalia – Winter festival: gifting, festive decorations and holiday cosmetics.
